KIVO is increasingly focussing on making plastic more sustainable. We examine every new order to create a thinner plastic with the same characteristics and to use recyclate in the plastic. We are growing fast due to these developments. This is why we invested in new machines. We bought four new Hudson Sharp Wicketer machines for our plant in Zwolle. With these machines, that replace four old machines, we can produce bread bags faster. Next to this, we bought a third flexo printing machine for our plant in Volendam. We are proud to announce that we are the first company in The Netherlands that possesses the latest Novoflex 2 from Windmüller & Hölscher Group. This printing machine is the most modern machine at the moment and is capable of producing 8 colors at a speed of 600 meters per minute.
A third investment is made on two 5-layer coex machines from Windmöller & Hölscher. With our 5-layer extruders we will produce optimum 3-layer recipes (possibly with regenerate) and no barrier foils. One of these machines will go to our plant in Kosovo where it will particularly produce shrink films for the beverage industry for the local market. REKS material will be used for this.
Novoflex II – W&H
