Innovation through minimisation and integration of recycled materials
KIVO has successfully commissioned a new 5-layer coextruder from Windmöller & Höllscher. The first production meters have now been run.
With this investment, we are strengthening our production capacity for high-quality, recyclable FFS films. The new line not only increases output, but also offers more control over layer build-up and material properties.
What does this mean concretely?
The 5-layer coextrusion technology allows:
- Increase output per hour
- Ensure consistent quality with thinner films
- Mechanical properties and sealing behaviour can be controlled more precisely
- Create additional capacity for mono-PE developments
The precise matching of the different layers allows us to optimise films for existing FFS lines, while supporting customers in moving from complex laminates to recyclable mono-material structures.
This move increases our technical strength as well as our ability to develop packaging solutions in line with future laws and regulations, including PPWR.
