In 1995, Kivo Plastic Verpakkingen was awarded Iso-9002 certification for its entire management structure. In 2003 Kivo was awarded with the new Iso-9001 certification. As most of Kivo’s products come into direct contact with food, Kivo is inevitably closely involved in its customers process controls, which is why the company has invested in its own BRC-IoP-system. As a team, Kivo ensures that our products are produced and delivered according to the agreed requirements. In this way we hope toe meet the needs and expectations of our customers even better. BRC-IoP Safe packaging for food Kivo produces a broad variety of packaging products meant for the food industry. Kivo is equipped with a modern high tech factory and uses high grade materials. Since the introduction of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) requirements for the food industry, Kivo has started to invest and modify the factory and production process in order to keep her status as qualified and approved supplier of packaging products in the food industry. Because the standards are more and more critical and our clients demands are growing, Kivo has decided to go for BRC-IoP. 21 December 2006 Kivo received the BRC-IoP certificate. The BRC-IoP standard has been drawn up by English retailers (united in the British Retail Consortium) and the Institute of Packaging. This BRC-IoP standard is a logical extension of existing standards in the food industry. If producers of food do everything to produce food safely, than the packaging has to be safe as well.
